In the GSID Library (Room 409), journals that have just been received (abount 2 to 5 years after publication) are shelved.
Back issues are relocated to the journal stack on the first basement floor of the Central Library or the GSID Library stack.

Journals cannot be borrowed. Please read them in the library.
Only for photocopying, you can apply a short-time loan or an overnight loan, but please complete the procedure between 9:30 and 17:00.
The call number label does not have the sign "国開".
The label of the faculty member's name is affixed above the call number.
You can borrow it the same as the general books.
GSID Dissertations
GSID dissertations (before April 2013):
The bound doctoral dissertations are in the GSID Library.
When searching for "GSID dissertations" by Nagoya University Library Search (OPAC),
the call numbers begin with Kanji characters "博論".
GSID dissertations can be borrowed for one week, up to 2 items.
GSID dissertations (after April 2013):
In principle, dissertations awarded after April 2013 are available in Nagoya Repository.
The doctoral dissertations which are not available in NAGOYA Repository can be browsed on the exclusive device (PC) in the Central Library (8:30 to 17:00 on weekdays).
Audio-Visual Materials (語学…): Sound Recordings for Language Study
When searching for audio-visual materials by Nagoya University Library Search (OPAC),
materials whose call numbers beginning with Kanji characters "語学" are sound recordings for language study.
If there is no disc inside, please bring the case to the service desk.
The sound recordings for language study can be borrowed for 1 month, up to 2 items.
When searching for audio-visual materials by Nagoya University Library Search (OPAC),
materials whose call numbers beginning with "C" are sound recordings or electronic materials on optical discs such as CD-ROMs.
You can use these materials only in GSID Library. Please ask the service desk and use them from 9:30 to 17:00.
You can use the microforms only in GSID Library. Please ask the service desk and use them from 9:30 to 17:00.
You cannot get them out of the library.
Reference Books (R…)
When searching for dictionaries and encyclopedias by Nagoya University Library Search (OPAC),
materials with the call numbers beginning with "R" are Reference books.
Most reference books have a red "禁帯出" label and cannot be borrowed.
Please browse in the library, but you can apply a short-time loan for copy, or an overnight loan.
When searching for audio-visual materials by Nagoya University Library Search (OPAC),
materials whose call numbers beginning with "V" are movies, sound recordings or electronic materials, such as VHS cassettes and DVDs, etc.
You can use these materials in GSID Library. If there is no disc inside, please bring the case to the service desk.
You can borrow them for 1 week, up to 2 items, except having red "禁帯出" labels.
