Application and selection for Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship are done by Embassies of Japan in applicants’ home country. Only those who passed the first stage of examination conducted at Embassies of Japan in applicants' home country can apply for entrance permission to GSID. Inquiry on the first stage of examination should be made to Embassy of Japan in your home country.

Once enrolled as graduate students of GSID, they can apply for scholarships offered by private companies or foundations through Nagoya University. However, the number of the scholarships is very limited. Therefore, it is advised that students prepare sufficient financial resources for their study at Nagoya University.
